Have you ever wanted Hallmark Channel's Christmas movies to take things a step further? According to the cable network, the R-rated (or PG-13) film will likely never be released.
When asked during the Television Critics Association press tour whether Lifetime would delve into more mature stories like last holiday season, the answer to the question was a resounding "no."

“In a Christmas movie? “No,” Hallmark Media chief programming officer Lisa Hamilton Daley told our sister Variety. “Our films will receive their last kiss. Everything is arranged.
Daley said some kisses may be a little risquer than others, but Hallmark wants its content to be geared toward family audiences.
"Some of these kisses last a little longer, they're a little more intense, but we'll never be anything more than PG," he added. “I think we have a great salon. You know your kids will never come in and you'll have to turn it off.
On December 9, 2023 , Lifetime premiered the Christmas sex scene A Cowboy Christmas Affair . The scene between the two main characters lasted approximately 90 seconds. According to TVLine's Andy Swift, the scene was "hot enough to land on Lifetime's Santa's Naughty List, but tame enough to avoid the wrath of the Parents Television Council."
