Solana's hilarious new meme coin called Dogwifhat (WIF) has made one lucky trader a lot of money.
A cryptocurrency trader named Blockgrise told Coin Desk that he purchased the meme coin for $1,000 in late November and that it is now worth more than $100,000.
A trader purchased WIF shortly after its launch on Solana because he found the Dog in the Hat "very cute." He cashed out $25,000 of his winnings and the rest was still in his wallet.
Dog-themed meme coins have been doing well lately, with BONK, another Solana-based memecoin, up more than 90% today after listing on Binance and KuCoin. It is also set up for Coinbase listings.
The bull market just developed and $BONK increased 200x.
Meanwhile, $SATS, $RATS and similar tokens have followed in their footsteps.

Blockgraze told Coin Desk that the 100x win was the result of luck, not skill, so the purchase felt like a gamble.
“I think the key is to be an idiot,” he said. “I probably should have sold it a couple of times, but the dog had a hat on.”
