Grimes claims that he has made more income from selling NFTs than he makes from his music career.

In an in-depth interview with Wired's Stephen Levy, the artist, whose real name is Claire Boucher, reflects on her cryptographic and static code endeavors.

In 2021, he launched "Warnymph", a set of 10 NFTs developed in collaboration with his brother Mac Butcher. NFTs made over $5.8 million in less than 20 minutes.

When asked if Grimes made more money selling NFTs than he made from his music career, he replied, "Yes."

Grimes, who has two children with Elon Musk, has been releasing music since 2010 and took a break in 2011. He released the hit album Vision in 2012 and the critically acclaimed album Art Angels in 2015.

Musician recently released AI-powered audio software that allows creators to create sounds with their own voices and offers to share 50% of royalties with users who create songs using the software.

"Two in particular are great," Grimes told Ward of the track, which features user-produced vocals. I'm so in tune with my new album that it feels really bad. It's like, 'Who am I and why am I here?'
