“I have a feeling we will all see Vitalik and Elon working together to add value to Dogecoin in some way,” crypto bull and entrepreneur David Gokhshtein said on Twitter, predicting that Musk is “interested in doing something to make what started out as a joke turned into something serious.

Gokhshtein also predicted that Musk and Buterin "won't work on bitcoin," despite the fact that Musk issued an optimistic statement on bitcoin earlier this month.

Musk has also previously proposed increasing Dogecoin's lock time "10 times, increasing block size 10 times, and removing fees 100 times," which he says is "necessary [for Dogecoin] to become the currency of earth", and would mean that it would surpass Bitcoin.

Last year, when cryptocurrency prices soared with stock markets, Buterin said Dogecoin could be a "bridge to Ethereum," saying it could be "surprising."
